GUARANI JESUIT MISSIONS

The Guarani Jesuit Missions, were built in the heart of the subtropical jungle, in the current territories of Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay, Bolivia and Chile. They were founded by the Company of Jesus, in the XVII century, these 30 missionary settlement had as its aim, evangelize the initial towns.

In the province of Misiones, the inherited legacy of the Guaranies can currently be experienced, in the San Ignacio Mini missions, Santa Ana, Nuestra Señora de Loreto and Santa Maria la Mayor.
